<hanetzer> so, what's the current hotness with rockchip SBC socs?
<robmur01> RK3328 still runs pretty hot :P
<robmur01> RK356x is where most of the action is at the moment, but honestly they're a bit meh beyond the decent set of I/O options. RK3588 is the next big deal, but I suspect it may turn out to be a long and bumpy ride (over and above starting 2 years late)...
<CounterPillow> gpu will be an adventure but a lot of the driver work carries over from rk356x
<CounterPillow> (driver aside from GPU that is)
<Bitweasil> Is there a good tracker for "state of the 3588" right now?
<Bitweasil> I see development happening, but it doesn't sound daily drivable yet... like, I don't think the graphics even come up yet?
<CounterPillow> """even""", not even the most advanced part is done yet! Wow!
<CounterPillow> Anyway, the closest thing there is to what you want is https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/QuartzPro64_Development#Upstreaming_Status
<lvrp16> rk3588 is going head to head with the mediatek stuff, going to be an uphill battle
<macromorgan> mriesch: just to confirm you were correct, it was that specific commit causing the problem
