<f_> Back.
<f_> Now that I know the issue has to do with channel modes I just booted with only one channel supposedly enabled
<f_> It does mean I can only use 1 GB out of the 2 GB available, but if it boots...and works.....I'd say it's good enough.
<f_> + who said this was going to be used in production in its current state?
<f_> >DRAM: 1 GiB (effective 256 MiB)
<f_> Also for fun I hardcoded the size to 256 MiB :D
<f_> So I can actually only use 256 MB :P

<phh> I have a SEI610, running 6.7-rc4, including 6.7-rc4 SEI610 dts. Most things I tested are working that's great (on hw video decode because of TEE, but that's on me to contribute it to mainline). My current issue is with the mics (dts says 2 mics over one PDM). When trying to record with `arecord -D hw:0,5 -f S32_LE -c 2` (I tried S16/S24/S32, hw:0,3.4.5), it fails with `arecord: set_params:1435: Unable to install hw params:` (strace says EINVAL on SND_PREPARE
<phh> way with pr_err("%s %s %d\n", __FILE__, __FUNCTION__, __LINE__) at every two line of the sound driver
<phh> ioctl). Since I had some hiccups with playback, I checked the amixers, and tried all 16 values for TODDR_A SRC SEL, but failed. It's possible that I don't exactly have a SEI610 (it does say SEI610 at many places but it's likely a prototype), but as I understand it, it shouldn't fail anyway because the PDM bus don't really have any kind of errors? Also it would be nice to fail with errors in dmesg. Does anyone have any idea? If not I'll debug this the usual

<phh> any feedback from anyone who did any sound input on any amlogic with mainline would be appreciated, since looking at the dts in mainline there doesn't seem to be many people ^^
