tortoise: cphealy: xdarklight: indeed the GE2D has only been ported to the AXG SoCs since those lacks a GPU so it was impossible to do HW accelerated color conversion and rotation on those without GE2D. The same IP is only other SoCs and support multi-plane YUV (AXG doesn't) and for the driver to work on GX/GXL/G12X/SM1 would need support for canvas, since AXG does direct memory access from GE2S while other SoCs uses the

canvas module to read & write the planes. It's not a hard work, only refactoring + some code to handle the canvas path and update the bindings
