narmstrong: Hi - FYI I was able to run correctly newest almogic image sato for a few days and seems really stable, I needed to poke around with some modprobes etc but so far it looks really great. Thanks!
<tolszak>
narmstrong: So odroid n2+ and egl + full screen hw acceleration works nice
<narmstrong>
tolszak: nice, thx for testing !

narmstrong, hi :) I was trying chromeos on odroid n2+ and found out that on meson drm the cursor plane doesn't get allocated and assigned, I heard/read on your SoCs Features Status that you have cursor plane already working, is this also true for the N2+ and if, do you have some code to share for me to test ?
<AreaScout>
I think this is an important feature to have, why is this not added in meson drm ?
<narmstrong>
AreaScout: hi sorry but I don't have any Cursor plane implementation, it's not supported because it has some drawbacks for interlaced modes, but it's on our planned features to implement if we get some spare time or request from a customer
<AreaScout>
narmstrong, interlaced mode is not very often used from users I think, I will discuss this with Justin if he is back from holiday, for me it's important to have and I don't want to fiddle around on it :) let's wait and see what he says, whether that goes through or not
<AreaScout>
narmstrong, would that interlaced videos stop from working ? It's nearly not used when it comes to desktop resolutions
<narmstrong>
AreaScout: sure, but interlaced is a key requirement for CVBS output
<narmstrong>
AreaScout: this is only a small non blocker issue
<narmstrong>
AreaScout: interlaced output is not enabled on HDMI output, so if cursor plane support would be limited when using interlaced output, it would only affect CVBS 480i/576i output
<narmstrong>
not a big deal
<AreaScout>
ok cool, well and as long as HW video decoder is not working it doesn't matter anyway ;)
