<tolszak> narmstrong: I see numerous of patches for linux-meson64-5.4
<tolszak> narmstrong: The image I build yesterday doesn
<tolszak> seems like doesn't have video 4 linux support
<tolszak> as there is no video device created when I plug in webcam
<narmstrong> Most of them are already merged upstream
<narmstrong> It must be a config issue
<tolszak> narmstrong: I also noticed that lsmod gives:
<tolszak> root@hardkernel-odroidn2plus:~# lsmod
<tolszak> Module Size Used by
<tolszak> rtc_meson_vrtc 20480 1
<tolszak> Does it mean that most of bits are statically compiled into kernel?
<narmstrong> Yep
<chewitt> it used to be a necessity as there were some racy things
<chewitt> but work done for Android to support everything as =m should lessen the need for that
<tolszak> chewitt: narmstrong: I noticed that kernel defconfig lacks CONFIG_USB_VIDEO_CLASS
<tolszak> I did menuconfig in yocto
<tolszak> searched for variable
<tolszak> it shows that it is placed in -> Media USB Adapters (MEDIA_USB_SUPPORT [=y])
<tolszak> I go there and it is empty
<tolszak> narmstrong: Ahh I needed to enable MEDAI_CAMERA_SUPPORT
<tolszak> MEDIA_CAMERA_SUPPORT

<narmstrong> I’ll do a pass on the defconfig to enable stuff back

<high-rez> Hey Folks. I'm playing around with a VIM3 and AOSP... So appologize in advance if this is not the right place for the question but hoping one of you will know. The UI is slow, video rendering is choppy - but when I use the khadas pie builds its fluid. Is this due to a lack of hardware accelerered display drivers for arm64 on this hardware ?
