Hmm, it looks like the answer might be to define a *fontset* that includes multiple font files

[slack] <chewitt> In default config Kodi expects to use a single Font file and I believe it looks for Arial.ttf hence the typical advice. You can probably do more, but that needs some more effort. The only think different in LE is the path used, otherwise it’s standard Kodi and thee Kodi wiki may have more info.

<jrwren>

mmebsd, for a raspberry pi you can set kernel params and some video stuff in a config file on the boot partition

<grib>
for a "generic" build (x86_64), I think LibreELEC uses grub so you can configure grub to pass parametrs
Fenster has joined #libreelec
<twnqx>
not grub, but syslinux; extra params go to /flash/syslinux.cfg
<twnqx>
also, requires mount -o remount,rw /flash to make it writable first
<grib>
twnqx, thanks. mmebsd, there's a walkthrough on the LibreELEC wiki about disabling the internal display for a laptop. it walks through finding the name of the internal display, then adds a kernel boot param like `video=mycardname:d`
