17:23 <mack> yang: yes, in several aspects due to difference between the 3 and 4. The increase in RAM will make little difference. The greatest speed increase for me was to get the kodi database off the SD (even a high quality "fast" card).

17:32 <mack> i5 - talking LE 8.x era here. 9 wasn't practical on the 2b for my use due to the change in default deinterlacer, which wasn't able to be changed globally.

17:52 <yang> thank you for your answers. shibboleth I noticed the remote control UI being kinda slow from RPI 1-3 (I had all of them), with what I understand is that if the SBC has less than 1 GB of RAM, LE will still read from SD card, but with RPI 4 / 8 GB it will only use RAM Memory?

18:46 <mack> yang: it will still make SD reads and writes for the kodi databases, unless the db is in another location like SSD or network.
