<oogabooga> Hello, I just upgraded to 10.0.1.  I'm using a rp4 with a 4k TV.  The screen is blank for a few seconds and then loss of signal
<oogabooga> I can ssh in and tried 'video=HDMI-A-1:4096x2160@60D' in /flash/cmdline.txt but nothing
<oogabooga> I mean no change.  'cat /sys/class/drm/card0-HDMI-A-1/status' returns 'connected'
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> forcing the HDMI connection to 4K will probably cause more issues than it solves
<oogabooga> ok.  I also tried running 'getedid create' and that returned 'successfully installed edid override for HDMI-A-1' but still no change after a reboot
<oogabooga> I removed video=... from cmdline.txt
<oogabooga> Hmm not I see "drm.edid_firmware=HDMI-A-1:edid/edid-HDMI-A-1.bin video=HDMI-A-1:D" was added to cmdline.txt, presumably from the "getedid" command
<oogabooga> *now
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> there are some fixes added to the 10.0 branch since 10.0.1 shipped
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> @hiassoft has posted some files in the forums .. 10.0.2 is waiting on Kodi 19.4
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> remove all the modifications and see if https://www.horus.com/~hias/tmp/libreelec/LibreELEC-RPi4.arm-10.0-devel-20220115145917-70986b0.tar helps
<oogabooga> can I drop that into /storage/.update/ and reboot?
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> Yup
<oogabooga> No go
<oogabooga> give 'getedid create' a whirl and reboot?
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> random Q .. is the board in an Argon case?
<oogabooga> no
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> connected to AVR or TV?
<oogabooga> tv
<oogabooga> TCL
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> add “video=HDMI-A-1:1920x1080@60D” to boot params first
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> assuming it’s connected to the port nearest the power connector (and if not, fix that)
<oogabooga> it wasn't
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> that’s the HDMI-A port .. one furthest away is HDMI-B .. but stick to A
<oogabooga> you sir are a winner
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> now see if the boot params aren’t needed (only the port swap)
<oogabooga> ok so remove the kernel parms, and reboot?
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> the fewer ‘tweaks’ from stock config the better - less to forget at some future point
<oogabooga> I have no audio, but I can fiddle with that later.  I'm using a little daughterboard for optical audio out
<oogabooga> yeah I hear you.  I think I'm repeating everything has it's late here and my face it starting to melt
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> the audio board probably requires an overlay loading
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> not my area of expertise
<oogabooga> the kernel params are needed, fyi
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> some TVs need a helping hand .. it’s no drama to keep them
<oogabooga> re: audio - it looks like I added 'dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi' to /flash/config.txt in v9
<oogabooga> Yep that got it.  Endless thanks for the help.

<ccx> Hi, can I somehow easily switch from gbm to X11? Using the RockPro64 SD card image.
<ccx> I'm trying to get 7" 1024x600 display working with this board and Libreelec is supposed to have patched kernel for greater mode range on the RK3399. I'm not having much luck though.
lolek has joined #libreelec
<ccx> Is this patch https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/blob/master/projects/Rockchip/patches/linux/default/linux-1000-drm-rockchip.patch included in the latest RockPro64 image? (It says Linux version 5.10.76 compiled Sat Oct 30 03:26:16 CEST 2021)

<lolek> hi, does anyone know how to clear flac tags completely? of course again kodi has some problem loading file saying "no tags" I clear them using metaflac, recreated using picard according to kodi wiki instructions and nope.. kodi still prints in the log "no tags found" even though picard shows everything is fine :(
