<duskwuff[m]> unavailable for hardware reasons or firmware reasons?
<wiebel[m]> The hardware should support it. At least there is a shunt in the schematics.

<Shiz> i mean, for linux stuff this seems like a problem also solved by simply satically linking
<Shiz> dang, scrolled up again
<Shiz> it was re:superlinker
<whitequark[cis]> <Shiz> "i mean, for linux stuff this..." <- try statically linking gtk!

<wizzy_> Hello from South Africa - I just got my glasgow - looks great! As a test I can drive a hub75 panel. Question :- If I want to use it as a 5V power supply, I tried "glasgow voltage AB 5" but it goes oof after running it. Can I "repl" it or otherwise leave the power on?
Attie[m] has joined #glasgow
<Attie[m]> you probably can't power a hub75 panel from Glasgow (it'll take too much power, certainly when lit up!)
<wizzy_> Yes, I tried that. You are right, it didn't work. But I am also needing it for something else
<whitequark[cis]> <wizzy_> "Hello from South Africa - I just..." <- you need --no-alert for that command
<whitequark[cis]> please open an issue, it's a UX papercut we should just fix
<wizzy_> That works, thanks
<wizzy_> "do not raise an alert if Vsense is out of range of Vio" - hmm - also, not in --help. I will open an issue
<_whitenotifier-4> [glasgow] rabagliati opened issue #718: voltage --no-alert - https://github.com/GlasgowEmbedded/glasgow/issues/718
<_whitenotifier-4> [glasgow] whitequark commented on issue #718: voltage --no-alert - https://github.com/GlasgowEmbedded/glasgow/issues/718#issuecomment-2462341308
<wizzy_> Also - because there is only one chance at "first impressions", why are the probe harnesses not resistor colour codes? Yes, black is a problem for zero, maybe use white for that
<wizzy_> upside is I don't see the colours in the docs :)
<wizzy_> wire quality is 100%

<esden[m]> We will ship the next and last batch of Glasgow to mouser/CrowdSupply by the end of November.
<esden[m]> They will come available from 1BitSquared around that time too.
