I am struggling to get font hinting done well. Vertically my font is crisp, and I can't get a sharper version increasing the font by 0.5 or decrease. However, in the horizontal direction, i have blue color and on the right, orange colors leeching into the dark pixels to the side. Shortly stated, the font is fuzzy in the horizontal direction,

however, is there something that I can force it to only have pixels go binary, so either fully on, or fully off in my terminal?

the above sounds like someone seeing subpixel antialiased text for the first time; a pretty accurate description imho 😅
