<bkeys>
rwmjones: Is there any support for Fedora on the Nezha D1 boards?
<rwmjones>
bkeys: first I've heard of them, so I'm going to guess no
<rwmjones>
davidlt[m]: ^
<rwmjones>
oh this is the C906
<davidlt[m]>
I think some folks are running Fedora on D1, but not sure where to find the images.
<davidlt[m]>
There is no upstream support for this board or the SoC (yet).
<rwmjones>
the core itself is supported but it's very very slow
<davidlt[m]>
It's not yet supported :)
<rwmjones>
assuming this is similar to / same as BeagleV
<davidlt[m]>
nah, BeagleV is StarFive silicon with SiFive cores inside.
<rwmjones>
oh right
<davidlt[m]>
That one is somewhat supported (but doesn't boot into user space).
<Esmil>
davidlt[m]: it does boot into userspace. it's just that the kernel can't load the userspace from mmc, usb or any of the other peripherals which has their own dma
<davidlt[m]>
Esmil: what's the current status of StarFive? Is someone working on getting it up and working properly?
<davidlt[m]>
Not that it will be important once a new SoC is available :)
<Esmil>
yeah, im unsure if it's worth adding for the jh7100s already out there or it's better to just wait for the jh7110
<drewfustini>
yes, Wei Fu has been doing a lot of work for Fedora on Allwinner D1
<drewfustini>
as far as kernel, I think mainline will work in a couple kernel releases. Samuel Holland has been doing a lot of work, along with Heiko Stuebner implementing support for t-head variant in the page-based memory type and cache management instructions patch series
<drewfustini>
and Guo Ren from T-Head still very active
<drewfustini>
I talked to Wei Fu on skype last week and he almost has Fedora 36 image ready I believe
