<millerthegorilla> hey, I am trying to add a user to the mail group on my coreos (pi 4b). I used groupmod -aG mail user, but despite rebooting, the user does not show the group in `groups username`. If I try running usermod -aG group user again, grumbles that group already exists for user. I have been reading sss, systemd-user, as nsswitch.conf and can use getent, but getent doesn't show group on user. I can't find the right docs. Any hints gratefully
<millerthegorilla> accepted!

<millerthegorilla> glad to see there is such a hive of activity here. And it turns out it was an selinux issue, at least after I added mail to the /etc/group of the script user
