oh he's gone-- was going to mention we're having a hell of a time with wayland/gnome on slackware-current... there's an issue somewhere. kernel/mesa/wayland, something is partially broken and it doens't show up on all systems, only some

I fought with wayland+nvidia for a LONG time only to finally realize a broken symlink was the problem. It's a pain.
