<frinnst> what are people using for a greeter/login thingy with wayland stuff? playing around with labwc or whatever it's called
<cruxbridge> <tim> frinnst: greetd here
<frinnst> wtf is 'cruxbridge'? :D
<cruxbridge> <tim> a matrix bridge
<frinnst> just greetd? not wlgreet?
<cruxbridge> <tim> i tried wlgreet, but i prefer the minimal tuigreet that comes with greetd
<r0ni> i like gtkgreet
<r0ni> no wait, regreet. gah theres so many of them
<remiliascarlet> I like the TTY.
<jaeger> leah2: that would be a heck of a thing over which to trash your system, if that were indeed what happened :)
<leah2> ;)
<leah2> i mean people have been rebooting boxes due to bsod screensaver :p
<jaeger> Sure, though that's a little less extreme, at least
lavaball has joined #crux
<jaeger> Last time I tried to use greetd/tuigreet it would stop working in the middle of typing either username or password for some reason
<jaeger> I probably had it configured wrong somehow but didn't have time to dig into it then
<jaeger> Well, just tried it again and it worked fine this time.

<r0ni> tim: over here libcamera 0.3.2 fails installing, looking at the created package shows /usr/share/doc/* mess of html files and what I assume is docbook files (*.doctree)
<r0ni> adding "-D documentation=disabled" seems to fix the doc mess
<cruxbridge> <tim> Will add it in a bit, cheers
<frinnst> does "iftop" freeze after a while for anyone else?
<frinnst> stops updating, responding to keypresses etc
zorz has joined #crux
<cruxbridge> <tim> i'll give it a try. if you want to try something else and can stand rust: I usually use contrib/bandwhich, much nicer tui imo
zorz has quit [Quit: leaving]
<cruxbridge> <tim> r0ni: there is a few documentation options available, not just html docs https://github.com/libcamera-org/libcamera/blob/master/Documentation/meson.build
<cruxbridge> <tim> maybe I'll just add a rm -rf $PKG/usr/share/doc to catch those, but keep manpages if a user has doxygen installed.
<r0ni> oh yeah i should have looked deeper, but yeah keeping manpages would obs be nice while wiping any other noise
<r0ni> ugh did they put manpages and normal docs into a single flag? ugh
<cruxbridge> <tim> looks like it
<cruxbot> [opt/3.7]: fribidi: 1.0.15 -> 1.0.16
<cruxbot> [contrib/3.7]: libcamera: purge html docs if generated
<cruxbridge> <tim> frinnst: iftop works keeps working, the tui is responsive
<jaeger> I've had btop freeze after a bit but not iftop
dlcusa_ is now known as dlcusa
<lennox> btop crashes a good bit for me on mac
