<tim> ukky: I opted to remove these lines as like you said, modern kernels don't need it. To me, it makes no sense to keep em there. Thanks again for the notice.

tim: Good call. If somebody needs older kernel version, he/she would put back those `delete` commands locally.

<jaeger>
how much older kernel version?
<cruxbridge>
<tim> i didn't test _that_ specifically
<jaeger>
All good, just curious
<ukky>
jaeger: Kernel v4.14.14 creates those files we delete in glibc's Pkgfile. No idea since when those are not installed anymore.
<jaeger>
That's a data point at least, thanks
<ukky>
I believe .install and ..install.cmd were installed via 'make headers_check'. That target, headers_check, is not available anymore.
<ukky>
scripts/Makefile.headersinst is the file where `.install` files were evaluated.
<jaeger>
OK, so I can check the git history if I want to find when exactly that changed. Not sure it's that important, though

Ugh, at work a system with 8G of RAM and 8 cores start swapping when first stage of gcc cross-compiler is built.
