<sajcho> Hi. I started porting the modified Crux to LoongArch.
<sajcho> I build ports via qemu-static
<sajcho> Can anyone recommend a machine to test.

<cruxbridge> <js> dlcusa: Funny! I just asked in this room before if someone is interested in LoongArch 🙂
<cruxbridge> <js> personally I have an XC-LS3A6M
<cruxbridge> <js> you can get it from AliExpress
<cruxbridge> <js> ah damn he left
<r0ni> he does that, seems he reads the logs anyway and will eventually reply
<SiFuh> r0ni: Yep and then return and try to make up wise quotes then gone again. ;-) It actually makes my day.
<SiFuh> r0ni: Offline we were wondering if he had enough RAM to IRSSI or another IRC client. So he jumps in and teleports out.
<r0ni> maybe net is metered and he knows how long ppl wait for answers on irc. days maybe... lol come back later he says
<SiFuh> r0ni: In the early 2k's I use to get 5 second calls from Thai friends. All wanting me to call them back. *ring ring* "SiFuh! Call me back" *click*. Because it didn't record a cost yet to their account. Never called them back. Use to watch them call me over 10 times in a minute and a half.
<r0ni> i remember skype being big with my irc peeps back then, they'd do the group call chats all day long. I def wouldn't be calling ppl if I had to pay a fee though
<SiFuh> I programmed my mother's answering machine to not answer with a voice but a ring tone. Just to bring extra cost to the telemarkets. Our ring tone in Australia lasted 30 rings.
<r0ni> heh
<r0ni> hrm the 'cups-browsed' port is missing the 'disabled_avahi.patch' file

<sajcho> cruxbridge: Thanks for the machine tip.
<sajcho> r0ni: You're right. I don't have time to sit on irc all day. Time is running out fast for me and I want to make it.

<r0ni> sajcho: no one minds sir, I don't think many understand that even though you've signed off, you'll get the message

<cruxbridge> <js> sajcho: Depending on what you want to do, you might want the reference board though.
<cruxbridge> <js> The XC-LS3A6M OTOH allows overclocking, which might be nice when you want to compile a lot
<cruxbridge> <js> it's supposedly picky with DDR4 memory, but I just got some cheap ECC DDR4 RAM and it detects it as 3200
<cruxbridge> <js> sajcho: Also, if you can't stay connected via IRC, you might want to try Matrix 😉
<cruxbridge> <js> beerman has bridged all channels to Matrix AFAIK
