<cruxbridge> <js> Would I be totally crazy for trying to cross-compile CRUX from Fedora for a different arch?
<jaeger> It's certainly doable. Some of the multilib development was done that way.
<cruxbridge> <js> Because I'm playing with the idea to port CRUX to LoongArch 🙂
<cruxbridge> <js> though I have used CRUX the last time it was i686-only
<cruxbridge> <js> but if it kept its simplicity, it would probably be a good distro to port
<jaeger> I'm sure it could be done, yeah. But another option would be to use an existing LoongArch distribution and build there to avoid cross-compiling
<cruxbridge> <js> Yeah I explicitly don't want to do that because they all seem sketchy or are bootstrapped themselves from sketchy ones
<cruxbridge> <js> plus there is the entire old world vs. new world
<jaeger> ah
<cruxbridge> <js> But I suppose the chances of getting an official LoongArch release for CRUX are zero, right? 🙂
<jaeger> Never say never, I guess :P Not something that interests me but I can't speak for everyone, of course.

<beerman> heh, I am not a taker either as of now, but I am not opposed to you doing it ;)
