<jaeger> I don't have a crux-arm device booted right now but can test later
<pitillo> no problem jaeger, should be my problem (I can reproduce it on my desktop, so I've done something wrong... or broke something...)
<jaeger> Had a break so I plugged the rpi4 in and booted it up... no problems downloading make there
<pitillo> thanks jaeger... I've broke my systems, no idea how btw
<jaeger> ugh :/
<jaeger> I've been there, it's a frustrating feeling
<pitillo> there is a rat somewhere... (probably some, because steam didn't work after the upgrade neither... so the list will grow for sure)
<pitillo> may be there is an explanation
<pitillo> ftpmirrors points me to rediris, and that's the problem
<pitillo> from ftp.gnu.org no problem
<pitillo> xD
<jaeger> ah
<pitillo> interesting....
<jaeger> at least the cause is identified :)
<pitillo> yeah
<pitillo> rat down... going ahead with the others if the kid let me sit a bit more here xDso
<jaeger> :D
<beerman> uhm
<beerman> you are not using wget are you?
<beerman> not sure if that could be a problem but maybe it is
<jaeger> the error message above specifically came from curl
<beerman> ah
<beerman> sorry, just came home etc and skimmed through the backlog
<jaeger> all good
<beerman> i saw download error, ftp, and feared he might have sticked with curl, but either way, i would've been wrong, because wget2 was what dropped ftp support
<jaeger> Ah, right, I'd forgotten about that
