<ajb-linaro>
on reading the "Stop grabbing references to PFNMAP'd pages" thread I'm a little confused on SPTE's - are they an x86 only thing, a kvm design choice or needed for all the various hyp arches?
<maz>
ajb-linaro: shadow PTs are not used on ARM outside of NV. other arches do use them if they need to conflate multiple levels of PTs.

<milkylainen>
LeSpocky: I did. Not much progress so far. I've split the packet based user area over nvmem. I needed some registers from the flat layout and packets from the fake layout.
<milkylainen>
LeSpocky: I sort of restricted the max packets, so that offsets after a certain point are real registers.
<milkylainen>
LeSpocky: But regarding the actual packets, broken.
<milkylainen>
LeSpocky: I've shifted focus to the maxim maxq1061, external "security" controller (or whatever one wants to call it).
