I'd check how different it is from other Rockchip vendor trees?
<wens>
or, how much of the changes were from QNAP, and how much was inherited

I see qnap still have custom syscalls in their kernel sources. In their linux-4.2 tree they reserved syscall numbers 450 through 455 for their own use, which seemed safe as the highest regular number was #281 on arm64 or #322 on x86-64
<arnd>
in their currently shipping (on rockchips) linux-5.15 this still works, but in linux-6.6 it now conflicts with official syscalls. They will have a fun time for their next update

Hello, I was looking at this PCI quirk commit for Ampere Altra SoCs, and I was wondering, how are they enabled when building? Is enabling CONFIG_PCI_QUIRKS enough? are quirks inspectable from sysfs so I can see if they are in-place or not without patching them? https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/877c1a5f79c6984bbe3f2924234c08e2f4f1acd5

epilys: just having CONFIG_PCI_QUIRKS (and CONFIG_ACPI, obviously) should be enough. I don't think this is something you can probe from userspace though.
<epilys>
maz: thanks!

MCFG quirks should be reported in the boot log when applied, see pci_mcfg_apply_quirks()
