<DC-IRC> [Discord] <beohoff3174> @zeeto9 , did you get any of the gpio buttons working?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <beohoff3174> on OP5+? The orangepi wiring op library is throwing errors
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <beohoff3174> Not that I'm surprised that that would happen

<DC-IRC> [Discord] <zeeto9> I think the only time I’ve used GPIO is with Joshua rieks Ubuntu and it was fairly simple of uart and some serial connections with esp32s using python for simple serial communication.
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <zeeto9> It was really simple. It was basically ultrasonic sensor on one esp32 device measuring for when distance threshold was reached and then over esp now and mqtt, send message and the other esp32 connected to orange pi would then do something. In this case, alert me that the mail had arrived.
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <beohoff3174> thanks for weighing in. I found a pull request in the library ( https://github.com/rm-hull/OPi.GPIO ) I was trying to use that showed what needed to be mapped. Also played around in the /sys/class/gpio directory a bit and just `cat` everything to the command line which was helpful
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <beohoff3174> had to get my wife to come interpret the OP5+ manual, since they hadn't translated all the manadarian to english, but other than that went ok
