<DC-IRC> [Discord] <liwei19920307> After updating the WSL kernel to 6.7, there is no problem. Thanks
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <mecoblock> I‘ve been using the JMB585 one since august 2022 in my sbc nas and it works flawlessly. Not sure what others have experienced
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <enok71> @meco what slot did you put it in? How many pcie lanes? I'm curios what happens when this chip gets more SATA bandwidth than pcie, and you load it with continous parallel reads/writes.
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <enok71> I had problems with drives hanging, SATA bus resetting, with jmicron chip SATA expanders in such cases, under Linux.
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <suetaah> Hi everyone!
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <suetaah> Does anyone know where is rk3588's secure bootrom located?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <suetaah> I was able to dump code from 0xFFFF0000, but it seems to be non-secure as no security checks are used. Also it perform soft reset for SoC if OTP word 8 is not 0xFF (secure boot flag).
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <suetaah> Maybe some info about custom remappings or smth like this?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <silas6890> Hi, I'm new here but I have a question. Why is the kernel for the orange pi 5 with 5.10.160-legacy-rk35xx so old and who is creating all these kernels?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <narga_64> Rk3588 is not yet fully supported on new mainline kernels. Legacy is with updates from Rockchip, vendors and community.
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <narga_64> Here you can see who helped creating this kernel:
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <spooky8086> There is a newer 6.1 kernel, but GPU hardware acceleration does not really work on it, even the mali blobs have a bunch of issues such as wayland not working. When the Panthor driver is merged into mainline Linux I would like to help backport it so 6.1 can replace the 5.10 kernel.
