<kingonename> Has anyone had any luck setting up an open box-wayland equivalent for Armbian that also allows the GPU acceleration etc.?
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> You mean an open box wayland alternative
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> Like labwc
<DC-IRC>
<dsx724> can someone with RK3566/RK3568 run this can copy the results? stress-ng --matrix 0 -t 10 --metrics-brief
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> Exactly I'm trying to install libwc but am having a hell of a time
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> The current pitfall is that libwc requires wlroots, and wlroots requires Wayland 1.22
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> Did you compile it from source?
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> In the process of it
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> I got it working once, sure.
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> But I compiled it from source
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> On a rolling release debian distro
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> I'm building it with meson and ninja, but I need Wayland 1.22. I've build it as well, but that crashed Wayland.
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> I think it's maybe because I had Wayland 1.20 installed before building 1.22 and haven't removed Wayland 1.20 yet. Does that sound right?
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> I'm just trying to confirm that Wayland 1.22 is installed now without uninstalling Wayland 1.20
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> I'm dumb lol I haven't ran ninja install yet 🤭
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> Dang running ninja install failed. Researching now
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> Got it working, apparently there's an with pips Wayland as it doesn't point to the right directory
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> Got it working, apparently there's an with pips version of meson as it doesn't point to the right directory. So the fix was to uninstall it from pip, and install from apt
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> So far Wayland 1.22 appears to be working fine on Armbian
<DC-IRC>
<kingonename> But I'm apparently a long way from being able to install wlroots
