<Armbian-Discord> <balbes150> Do you have a Rock5b UART console connected ?
<Armbian-Discord> <rpardini> Ok so what is up with helios64? the patch add-board-helios64.patch is trying to "add" the DTS rk3399-kobol-helios64.dts, but that file already exists in mainline. Armbian patching (in bash) is removing the files that patches would create, so this ends up working... to make it worse then there are 3 more later patches that modify that rewritten DTS. How does any of this make sense?
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> it doesn't now, but i guess it was useful back then. we don't have a care taker for helios64 to notice this.
<Armbian-Discord> <ManoftheSea> when did it add to mainline?
<Armbian-Discord> <ManoftheSea> I think helios64 didn't have a mainline dts in 5.15, at least
<Armbian-Discord> <ManoftheSea> While I have a helios64, it's important to my network and I can't try things on it, so I don't want to claim it in any official way
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> yes, it was probably added not long time ago.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tonymac32> Likely
<Armbian-Discord> <Tonymac32> You also need to watch out for dts double nodes, when we make a patch to add a device to the DTS and then mainline does, but in a different part of the file 😆
