<Armbian-Discord> <Zanoryt> grosssssss !!! 😉
<Armbian-Discord> <ManoftheSea> Porters, stouts.

<Armbian-Discord> <Tonymac32> Ah, I do enjoy a quality stout, or porter. Generally I just like beer
<Armbian-Discord> <Tonymac32> 😆
<Armbian-Discord> <balbes150> I'm not a fan of Tkaiser, but discussing a person's personal qualities in a technical forum is the level of small children from the sandbox. 🤮

<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> Just keep in mind there was the comment made by him of "hidden Discord crap channels" first
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> just to be fair
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> in that writeup
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> @IgorPec question for you about the manual patches made for the rk3588 so far.. Who has been making those?
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I think with just a few (3-5) tweaks we might be able to get the kernel up to possibly 5.10.75 (now if it runs yet I don't know.. but there are very few adjustments that need to be made)
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> i did, but have no time / will to proceed
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> Ok. was just curious if you had done that or someone at Radxa
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I was going to attempt some changes on my trip and see how it goes
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> ok
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I've found some of the problem has been overlaps in the code
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> Some of the changes were already in their kernel
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> yes, this is common
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I've got one main one left to fix I think for the "core" of this to be ready to try
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> lib/list_sort.c is one ugly file heh
<Armbian-Discord> <balbes150> It's a waste of work to make changes to the BSP kernel, trying to raise its version, the next iteration from RK or the maintainers of the kernel (Radxa) will break all your work. It is better to spend time working with the main core, it will be much more useful.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> That's the "only" version out for it right now atm unless you know of some hidden kernel somewhere besides theirs
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> the 5.10 Rock5 repo is the only one I'm aware of
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I have no confidence that the "next" revision will be much more different than the current one... using Android ancient codebase was "not" a confidence builder
<Armbian-Discord> <lanefu> I think that's a good point.. there's no value in Armbian trying to provide additional patches to vendor's upstream kernel... let them own that. Even the new kernel config should probably still be a PR to raxda as a courtesy. Other users are having issues with no docker obviously. Armbian "should" worry about wrangling the mainline patches that are floating.

<Armbian-Discord> <Tonymac32> I wasted so much time on the Tinker Board vender kernel, and at one point a Rockchip merge murdered it for months
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> The problem there is progress.. is Radxa's priority making this board enduser/mainline ready? If not then some entity has to fill the gap or this board will be a non-sell before its even on market fully
