<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> So I like Armbian so much I decided to put it on my ThinkPad X250... Got a fresh install and I ran `sudo apt upgrade -y` for the first time and I got an error with a repo... Here's the error, link to pastebin as it is too large to put in Discord
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> https://pastebin.com/VwA66Fc1
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Just checked and I am getting the same error on my PineBook Pro... I guess this repo is down?

<DC-IRC> [Discord] <nardol_> Should I just ignore this message about Buster not supported when I am in fact on Bookworm? :)
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <Werner> Easiest solution
xoan has joined #armbian
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Why are Buster repos in Bookworm?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Looking at my stock sources.list these are all Jammy repos, Jammy IS Debian Bookworm, no?
<mort> Jammy is Ubuntu
<mort> 22.04 to be precise
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Yes and Jammy is based on Debian Bookworm/Sid
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> So I am not seeing how Buster plays into these apt errors if every repo in my sources.list is a Jammy repo
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> These are the apt errors: https://zerobin.org/?399ff25045b89143#74uPV5u89EsgsuhqPm6ATEnek1pJbdTNjSB2XBfU9j7K

<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Yeah my misunderstanding
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> I went ahead and wiped it and installed the Armbian “bookworm” stable release, but had the same errors on it
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> I went ahead and wiped the “Jammy” Armbian and installed the Armbian “bookworm” stable release, but had the same errors on it
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> I ran` sudo apt update -y `and then `sudo apt upgrade -y` then I ran `sudo apt upgrade --fix-missing` and got this error here: https://zerobin.org/?cc772439b5ee3ab4#HCaXDFNyMdy32NDjN4f2m6R8KLkwSepCsbPmCPrkepyS
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <igorpec> this problem is everywhere, regardless of image
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <igorpec> mirrors will eventually be in sync ... automation that temporally removes mirror that is not fully in sync ... is not working well, manual removal is expensive
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> I went ahead and wiped the install of "Armbian 24.2.1 Jammy Gnome Desktop" and installed the "Armbian Bookworm Gnome Desktop" from the stable releases at the bottom of the page... however it gave me the same errors. Keep in mind these are fresh installs and the first commands I am running in the terminal after logging in for the first time.
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Ah I see, so wait and see?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <igorpec> yes
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Okay, cheers!
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <igorpec> one quick fix is to select fixed mirror in armbian-config
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <nardol_> @danielktdoranie I have no issue until now with my miror: https://armbian.site-meganet.com/apt
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Trying that now
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Thank you, I will try that
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <nardol_> Yesterday I was able to upgrade, so except if there were something wrong with E.G. base-files after it should work

<DC-IRC> [Discord] <igorpec> yes
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> Thanks, sadly it seems stuck here...
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <danielktdoranie> However i am running the "Intel/AMD" build of "Armbian Bookworm Gnome Desktop" maybe this module doesn't work on the Intel/AMD build of Armbian?

<DC-IRC> [Discord] <nicod_sbc> My trick is to do sudo apt update/upgrade, then close the terminal when it failed and open it again and run the command again. And it most of the times works. The trick is that it needs to ask for the password again. Then it seems it does more...

<mort> is there an easy way to compile your own kernel with just a small amendment to the config?
<mort> e.g setting some CONFIG_ option to =y if it defaults to =n
<mort> I'd like to avoid 1) the kernel config TUI, I want this to be scriptable; and 2) having a complete custom .config file
<mort> (and also I find the config TUI incredibly hard to navigate, I can't for the life of me figure out where they put CONFIG_SND_SOC_PCM5102A and search isn't helping)
