anyone else seeing ERROR: hdparm-9.65-r0 do_populate_lic: QA Issue: hdparm: hdparm is a generic license, please don't use NO_GENERIC_LICENSE for it. [license-no-generic] now?

JaMa: We really need to make warnings persist through sstate

has someone already used gvpr to preprocess / reduce the output of bitbake -g to only "interesting" nodes? I had a few cases where I wanted to plot the dependencies between two recipes/tasks, but plotting the large dotfile took quite a while and the result contained a lot of unnecessary nodes...
<RP>
JaMa: I think it came in via the SPDX license update

Hello, I have a strange "issue" with my yocto build but I think it's configuration: Previously when I was doing "devtool modify XXX" like in the WiKi, the patch of the receipe XXX was applied and "commited", so I was able to update it and "commit only the new changes".
<Tyaku>
Now when I do the command, the changes from the patches are not commited.
<Tyaku>
someone know which setting it is?
<rburton>
can you demonstrate this with a console log?

<Tyaku>
Hum, My problem is solved, I don't know how, I think the problem is specific to a receipe, probably because the receipe build in the same dir (?) (this is a kernel module)
<Tyaku>
What I do to resolve the problem: devtool reset XXX , rm -rf path/to/XXX, devtool modify XXX
<Tyaku>
I also pass from a bitbake -c cleansstate XXX.
<rburton>
FWIW you almost never need to cleansstate: it's very slow and mostly pointless

Hi, some years ago I had a issue with Hardknott I tried to solve but couldn't find the reason. It didn't happen with later releases so I moved on, bit it's is happening again with Nanbield.
<fabatera>
Build breaks with "Unable to install packages" due to "unmet dependencies" after updating a recipe and rebuilding out of tree drivers (reusing SSTATE).
<fabatera>
building after cleaning SSTATE works fine
