yocton: the kernel is 'special', note how that CVE you references doesn't list any version ranges for where it is fixed. if you don't track a stable branch then you'll have to check for the fixes by hand. this is why you should just always track a stable kernel branch (which is what linux-yocto does). adding more entries to cve-extra-inclusions is probably one option here.
