hello. i have a recipe that does `cp -R /foo/bar/* ${D}/bars`. i have recently added a new directory in /foo/bar. tmp/work/all-poky-linux/my_recipe/1.0-r0/image/foo/bar/my_new_dir is now created. however, it doesn't end up in the sd card. any clues?

<xcm_>
moving /foo/bar under files/ of the recipe seems to have sorted it out
<manuel_>
For Debian. Preferrably no bloated Element-App

kanavin: from your poke at argp-standalone, i know it's primarily for musl systems, but should it build with glibc? thinking if we can remove the COMPATIBLE_HOST then it will be easier to test it builds...
<kanavin>
rburton, it's a khem thing
<kanavin>
I'm just trying to clean up pending patches

I'm trying to run a wayland application (glmark2-es-wayland). From what I can tell a weston user was added to the system, but I'm logged in as a different user. Is there a way I can talk to the servers? Do I need to su to the 'weston' user, or?? I don't have much experience with this so I'm at a loss on what to try next.

fray: how are you running the command? are you ssh'ing in?
<fray>
yes
<fray>
boot the board on core-image-weston, ssh in and I'm trying to run wayland stuff.. but of course it fails
<rburton>
well first you need to set WAYLAND_DISPLAY to the socket, like you'd set DISPLAY
<rburton>
if you can just ssh in as the same user that is running the weston, makes things easier
<rburton>
easier: use wayland-terminal to run the app :)
<fray>
Ya, that was the other part of the question.. Do I have to use the "weston" user? If I want to use my own user do I need to kill off weston and restart it with my user?
<fray>
no keyboard or mouse on the board.. which is why I'm using ssh
<rburton>
change the session to start weston as your user?
<rburton>
there's not a magic user, it's just that you can't run weston as root.
<fray>
Ya, I can change the weston user.. just figured if a default user was being created there must be a way for another user to talk to it
