landgraf: I'd fixed one in the patch I sent, I've fixed the other now thanks
<RP>
jonmason: question is whether we should add something...

I'm trying to replace my build server and the OS is changing from Ubuntu to Debian. The problem I have is that the kernel modules are named /lib/modules/4.14.98-2.0.0-ga+yocto+g8fc3b4b7befe9 on the Ubuntu machine and /lib/modules/4.14.98-2.0.0-ga+yocto+g8fc3b4b7befe on the debian machine. I tried to fix this using KERNEL_MODULE_PACKAGE_SUFFIX, but that doesn't seem to work. This build is Yocto warrior

how do i get a recipe to extract a python wheel after downloading it?
<Xagen>
it's just an archive, so all it has to do is unzip it

LetoThe2nd: wait a second, that's the error that just got fixed in oe-core/poky master.
<jonmason>
you need to fetch your stuff

<jonmason>
but for the record, meta-zephyr master breaks on kirkstone compatability
<jonmason>
with that error
<jonmason>
let me see if I can port the fix over and see if it works
<LetoThe2nd>
jonmason: kay thanks. yeah I wasn't sure if that correlated to the patch
<jonmason>
LetoThe2nd: I see the same issue in the gcc runtime. I'm tweaking the fix now and verifying it
jmiehe has joined #yocto
<jonmason>
LetoThe2nd: yes, that fixes it
<LetoThe2nd>
jonmason: cool... what I don't get is why it broke just now?
<jonmason>
RP: looks like kirkstone needs 591f14c698f43ca4ae6431c8cd96225d1ed5dbf5 but, of course, it doesn't apply cleanly (as there was a patch that it stacked on top of). Do you want me to send a reworked one for that branch?
<jonmason>
LetoThe2nd: I'm willing to bet something just got pulled back
<LetoThe2nd>
jonmason: pulled back?
<jonmason>
LetoThe2nd: 3af7f4ba996ad5a5ff475ade9f244cd9a7bfa0f2 is the culprit, not sure when it got applied, but it's 5 from the top. So, recently
<jonmason>
LetoThe2nd: yes, this was on master already. So it probably got pulled back to "stable" to fix something
<jonmason>
quotes should've went around fix not stable
<LetoThe2nd>
jonmason: ah, gotcha. i mean, in the end it showed me again that I should better nail down the revs in my kas files...
<jonmason>
LetoThe2nd: if you are using them for production, yes
<jonmason>
LetoThe2nd: do you care about meta-zephyr master on kirkstone oe-core/poky? If so, we should actually test that as part of ci :)
<LetoThe2nd>
jonmason: "care" as production, no. "care" as "using for a (hopefully) cool demo", yes.
<jonmason>
just trying to think about how best to run CI, so many permutations
<jonmason>
LetoThe2nd: COOL! I wish I was going. A little to heckle, but a little to learn
<LetoThe2nd>
jonmason: hopefully i get all the buzzwords actually working together ;-)
<LetoThe2nd>
the multiconfig zephyr-in-yocto build is actually good to go, working on the imx7 part now.

hi all, i'm trying add to .bb file some script using pkg_postinst_ontarget_${PN}, but I don't see any it triggering when I run my image. I'm testing using "runqemu qemux86-64 core-image-minimal ext4" - could this be a problem?
