Because we are in the unique position of having a large amount of chips we are writing a public repository. For all the architectures that we need to support.

The other thing that "we" would like to do is add do_test() to the framework per recipes, but we are just 3 embedded developers

But I think we could have do_test() implemented by the the 15th. And could start to add that to key recipes

Where does cmake generate output file names when cross compiling? I'm successfully cross compiling for aarch64 but the dynamic libraries are still getting x86_64 descriptors as part of their name. (i.e. "bindings.cpython-36m-x86_64-linux-gnu.so"). Changing CMAKE_SYSTEM_PROCESSOR to aarch64 didnt make any difference :\

oh the target had a suffix property... I suppose it was getting set somewhere. Easy to overwrite!
