<digetx> I see that device mode works, and apparently you want the host mode, correct?
<jonasschwoebel[m> I didn't tried device/gadget mode yet.
<jonasschwoebel[m> Host mode works is external VBus is supplied but host mode doesn't work with VBus gpio only
<jonasschwoebel[m> s/is/if/
<digetx> ah

<digetx> does anything other than "USB storage" work? mouse or keyboard for example
<digetx> without external power
<jonasschwoebel[m> didn't tried that yet. didn't thought about the problem in that way.
<jonasschwoebel[m> Will test it next week
<digetx> maybe there is current limit set somewhere
<jonasschwoebel[m> like said 7inch HDMI screen can be powered from USB.
<jonasschwoebel[m> I guess it draws much more current than a usb 2.0 drive 🤔
<digetx> also try to disable usb runtime pm using "usbcore.autosuspend=-1" kernel cmdline parameter
<jonasschwoebel[m> iirc unplugging external power before kernel boots and replug it after kernel booted didn't worked too.
<jonasschwoebel[m> I will try the cmdline param, maybe it does something.
<jonasschwoebel[m> Thx :)
<jonasschwoebel[m> Feels like lose of VBus even for a brief moment causes the USB controller quit his job.

<digetx> if it will work without rpm, then it means that there is no wake event generated on connect
<digetx> you may need to specify OTG mode instead of the HOST for USB1 in DT
