<g0hl1n> Hi everybody, I'm currently looking in adding support for the tegra20 vi/csi to mainline and was curious if anybody of you has already done some work on it? Any help/feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks
<g0hl1n> btw. I'm aware of the TRM, v3.1.y tegra20 and ml tegra210 implementations.

<pgwipeout[m]> Mainline U-Boot only supports the panel outputs on tegra30, jenneron . So on tablets that should work. But on ouya we only have HDMI. But the reason I say you need uart is because the kernel decompressor is the only thing I've found that can print out the load address before relocation. You could write a shim to take the address and save it in reserved memory then jump to the kernel, but that's above my skill level.

<digetx> g0hl1n: hello, what tegra device do you have
<m4t> digetx: another panic on that same older kernel, this time lm90, so probably it is not related to the tsensor https://paste.ee/p/2mfLf#tZf0SIg2Bgo14lgm0BUgFuzyepuTH4uA
<m4t> hrm and it just seemed to panic again after 5m, having been up for days previously
<m4t> second panic shows the same / similar backtrace https://paste.ee/p/6Gc1A#kMbo3mdeAdtV3aGtvW31g23LlOHmSWQI
<m4t> maybe it's fixed already, i can try latest grate. but the last one i tried a couple weeks ago was unusable.
<g0hl1n> digetx: tegra20 on a Tamonten20
<digetx> g0hl1n: there is T20 VI driver based on downstream drivers ported to 4.7 kernel https://github.com/digetx/picasso_upstream_support/commits/4.7-downstream-video it probably shouldn't be too difficult to port it all to latest upstream
<digetx> m4t: please try latest kernel
<m4t> ok
<g0hl1n> digetx: thanks for that pointer. That really helps! Have you ever tried to get in mainline?
<digetx> I haven't
