<hammerhead8599> anyone around to answer a question concerning recovering a sandcats domain?
<TimMc> hammerhead8599: Best practice on IRC is to just ask the question and then stick around to find out.
<hammerhead8599> makes sense
<hammerhead8599> I have a working instance of sandstorm on an old computer that I want to transfer to a newer faster computer. When I try to use recover in install on new pc it states it will send a token yet I never see one.
<hammerhead8599> The pc with the working install has been offline for 24 hrs but still no token
<hammerhead8599> The base OS I am using is UBUNTU 20.04.3 LTS
<ocdtrekkie> You may need kentonv to check that, if it's just not emailing you. That should come from the Sandcats service, not your old server, so something may be off there.
<kentonv> hammerhead8599, the token will be sent to the address you specified when you created the domain originally... are you sure you're checking the right mailbox? Another possibility is that the address has been blocked due to bounces -- if so that's something I can check if you tell me the address.
