How come if I specify --include to rdoc it still includes other files? I want to specify a specific set of files to include.

Okay I'm seeing now that this include is for a different context. I see the --root option as well but it's still picking up files from my current directory. How can I provide an explicit list of files/directories to pull from?

I cant' figure out if RubyKaigi is going to have another batch of tickets for virtual only, or if I should buy the $100 in-person one.

Hi lovely folks :) I'd like to keep some very simple state (a string) between runs of a Ruby script. Is there some paved path / gem to do this without fuss? I could create and manage a temp file but since this is likely common for script-writers I thought I'd ask here first
<Zerock>
if it's just a file with a single line string in it, that is trivial with the built in File class

Guest94: Just using File is probably fine. Also look at PStore.

havenwood: thanks for the code ... i hadn't know about #slice, that's useful, thank you! also i'm wondering why it's necessary to use a splat operator (* ... if that's what it is) in front of dup_keys? apart from that you ask a very good question about uniqness ... kind of sent me off on a tangent.
