<Yonei> Hi hello, is it possible to resize windows with mouse and keep those windows in tiled mode?
<TheAnachron> How would that work?
<Yonei> Just like in e.g. Hyprland
<Yonei> or AwesomeWM if talking about X

<Yonei> I see that "Interactive resize of windows with the cursor from all edges/corners" is a plan for 0.3.0 release but I don't know how far the development goes on the master branch, thats why Im asking

<Yonei> Qtile has the same behaviour like river with its window resizing (correct me if im wrong), the window will pop out of tiled mode into floating mode if you start resizing it with the mouse

<TheAnachron> Yeah afaik you either have a tiling window which respects the auto layout or a floating one which lets you have arbitary dimensions

<LarstiQ> since layout generators are responsible for all knowledge about geometry, you need to come up with a way for the wm to expose mouse dragging to the generators without itself having to know anything
<LarstiQ> dunno if there are concrete thoughts about that somewhere or more a "certainly not before 0.3.0"

<Tekk> Sorry if I missed it when my irc client went down, but are there any examples out there which use zig-wlroots through the package manager? When I tried to add it zig just complained that there was no dependency by that name in my zon file. I wasn't sure if zig-wlroots had to add something to its repo or if I was just wrong somewhere.
<Tekk> I can probably dig up the pastebin again if needed
<waleee> seems like it should "just work", this lib is used by zls' build.zig.zon while having all packagemanagers besides the new official one for zig https://github.com/ziglibs/known-folders
<waleee> Tekk: could you pastebin your current .zon-file?
<waleee> oh, you had done it already
* waleee checks the whitequark logs
<Tekk> Yeah, I copied the zig.zon and the build.zig stuff from a project I have which uses zap
<Tekk> which worked fine there
<Tekk> But I'm still not ruling out my being stupid :)
