hello! I'm using river on my desktop with swayidle to trigger waylock, but trying to figure out how to handle powering off my display. wlopm will successfully power it off, but I can't figure out how to wake the display back up on input. swayidle examples and events seem to only provide `resume` for this, but I'm explicitly not wanting this machine to suspend as it runs other services.
<adamcstephens>
any thoughts on how I can successfully wake (through wlopm?) the display on input?

adamcstephens: swayidle's timeout command accepts an optional second thing to run on the first input after the idle timeout
<ifreund>
pretty sure that's what you want
<ifreund>
hmm, but that's exactly the example used in the man page which apparently isn't working for you
<ifreund>
have you tried the example from the swayidle man page using dpms off/on?
<Cornelius-Figgle>
can someone share the config line they are using to screenshot under wayland? I am have issues with grim+slurp
<Cornelius-Figgle>
probably largely due to sub-level bash scripting skills
<adamcstephens>
ifreund: yes, this is probably exactly what i want. i was misreading the man page (and the associated home-manager options).
<ifreund>
Cornelius-Figgle: I use this binding: riverctl map normal $mod P spawn 'grim -g "$(slurp)" - | wl-copy'
<Cornelius-Figgle>
weird, thats pretty much what I had except without the clipboard
<Cornelius-Figgle>
when I run it in the terminal it creates a file itself, but not when via riverctl
