<palmer>
hey guys, not sure if I've got this one working (Matrix tends to throw a wrench in the works)
<jrtc27>
hey

palmer: nickserv emails may still be rate-limited, if you got «Sending email failed, sorry! Registration aborted.» you need to try again
<sorear>
palmer: is this heisenbridge? (I'm checking that out as a future solution, so I can't give advice but may want to hear your experiences)

sorear: I hadn't seen your message, my bridge was still one-way due to a config error
<palmer>
I just run my own Matrix server and IRC bridge, I've found the official one to be super unreliable
<sorear>
matrix-appservice-irc?
<palmer>
ya
<palmer>
it works fine once you fix the bugs ;)
<sorear>
didn't realize there could be more than one of those connected to freenode
<palmer>
ya, you can run your own
<palmer>
at least in the mode I run it in it's essentially just an IRC bouncer
<palmer>
I think the official bridges have some deeper integration to get all the channels bridged
<palmer>
I just have one user, though, so I don't need anything fancy
<guerby>
palmer, matterbridge is really nice and simple to bridge various chats, we use it for matrix/IRC/mattermost/telegram currently https://github.com/42wim/matterbridge
<guerby>
one wget for the go binary, one simple text config file and you're good to go (juste generate tokens or accounts for the bot as needed)
<palmer>
OK, well, I guess when this blows up I might check that out
<palmer>
I'm not so much trying to bridge channels, as I don't really own any, and am just trying to have a single app for connecting to my services
<guerby>
palmer, if you prefer matrix for example it allows you to bridge other chat/channels to your matrix instance (our volunteer did not succeed in using matrix/IRC normal bridge in a reliable way)
<palmer>
I don't really prefer matrix, it's a bit too browser-oriented for me
<palmer>
I really just want one place for all my text-based stuff, and last time I looked Matrix was the top option (though TBH, it's a lot clunkier than I hoped)

I'm trying to build for rv32imacb (E21) but the latest compiler from SiFive at least is telling me that it "cannot find default versions of the ISA extension `b'", is there an open source tool chain release that should work with this configuration, or is there something I might need to specify on the command line to get it to work?

<jrtc27>
if you want B use LLVM
<jrtc27>
GNU toolchains don't have it upstream, only in forks
<jrtc27>
though, given the error, it might be that you need to say -march=rv64imacb0p93 or whatever
<jrtc27>
uh, rv32
<jrtc27>
but I have no clue about the SiFive toolchains
<Slide-O-Mix>
ok, thanks
