<abu[m]> f8l: Android does not allow Apps to run binaries not originally in the APK any more
<abu[m]> Therfore a 32-bit plugin cannot be run in PilBox
<abu[m]> So no way to run PilBox on a non-Arm64 device
<abu[m]> Besides that Android limitation, another reason is of course that pil21 needs a 64-bit system
<abu[m]> And PilBox is Pil21 now ☺

<f8l> Both problems seem to be related to the version of Picolisp contained in PilBox. Can I build a PilBox with an old, 32-bit Picolisp inside? Or maybe even just swap it, since .apk are just ZIP files?
<abu[m]> Yes, if you supply 32-bit binaries in the APK you are fine
<abu[m]> Not sure atm how much PilBox depends on Pil21 though
<abu[m]> You probably need the old App.l in PilBox probably
<abu[m]> as old PicoLisp's don't support pseudo TTYs for example
<f8l> I have some old versions of PilBox to experiment on. The question is how much they depend on 64-bit Picolisp. I guess the answer is that they don’t. Thanks for help.
<abu[m]> right
