zcc can target z80 ti stuff, i added some support for it, e.g. you have to call something at startup to initialize malloc() IIRC, a #pragma lets you set the program name that shows up when you go to programs on the calculator IIRC, for little tiny test programs, just need to make a "target file" to set CC CFLAGS etc. for it
<kof673>
anyways....not sure i plan to use it, it will just be another target though, for whatever can fit in however many k you get

<kof673>
a just have a bunch of things i include inside main programs, since different targets have different "startup" requirements. e.g. windows/mingw-ish targets i set binary mode for stdin/out/err, stuff like that mostly...
<kof673>
*i just have psx i think you are supposed to point malloc() somewhere too IIRC.....

( inside main() that is -- c runtime may also need to do stuff before main() is called of course )

there is cc65 too, but many of the targets likely have limited space

It's always been jaslighting everywhere, maybe you're misremembering
<pog>
oh
<pog>
i guess you're right
<heat>
god, jaslighting is a super reference
<nikolar>
heat: kek
<heat>
but i dont remember the context around that
<nikolar>
you do remember heat
<heat>
i would need to grep my old hard drive's logs
<nikolar>
:(

I apparently left for a few days, and someone asked why, and froggey said it was about jiggawatts
<zid>
all I know
<zid>
I was probably just sick of you guys being dumb and played WoW for a couple of days
<nikolar>
using up jiggawatts of energy
<nikolar>
checks out

somebody said we were goign to lunch at 11:30 and i'm avoiding running a test
<heat>
nikolar: i'm getting FUN NVME PROJECTS next
<heat>
nvme over fabrics mon
<zid>
pog I am having attempt #2 at space age
<pog>
nvme over cotton
<nikolar>
heat: ooh work getting fun then
<pog>
zid: nice
<zid>
I like it a little better if I ignore gleba, but I still don't like it as much as regular factorio
<pog>
gleba is a bit tough, i'm still trying to figure out the best layout
<zid>
everything feels so gated and you're always doing annoying fiddly shit
<pog>
fulgora is great though
<zid>
I'm hating fulgora atm
<pog>
really?
<zid>
My base can't produce accumulators fast enough to power itself enough to produce accumulators, so I took a side-trip back to vulcanis to produce rare ones and ship them out instead lol
<zid>
I finally got that working, and now all my islands suck
<zid>
they're all dumb shapes and I can't fit train stations onto any island with scrap
<pog>
build the station over the scrap, use large miners
<pog>
that way you get full coverage and can fit the station
<zid>
mine into trains?
<pog>
no
<pog>
you'll still need to belt to them
<zid>
The only island I found with more than like 100k scrap
<zid>
had just barely enough to fit a train, but only if you had cliff explosives
<zid>
because the island was 90% walled
<pog>
oh yeah those are annoying
<zid>
I ended up making a super janky setup that just about gets me some scrap
<pog>
but also don't do regular science on fulgora, only electromagnetic
<pog>
ship it to nauvis for consumption
<pog>
rockets are extremely cheap to produce on fulgora once you have it going
<zid>
then used my awkward closest island (cus no water/concrete/etc for massive rail lines) to awkwardly set up some scrap processing
<zid>
yea all my science goes back to nauvis
<pog>
you get concrete for free too, but once it's up and running
<zid>
now my setup just needs.. completely starting over
<zid>
because you can't logistics between islands
<pog>
the bootstrap on fulgora is annoying unless you import a bunch of shit
<zid>
yea I should have just worked on nauvis for 10x as long
<zid>
and made like 5 smaller shitter ships
<pog>
my first run on fulgora i used bots and later learned it was a mistake
<zid>
and just connected the logistics network to a landing pad directly
<zid>
I'm semi-using bots
<pog>
now i have a splitter ladder feeding into arrays of chests
<nikolar>
#factoriodev
<zid>
I have huge rows of filtered arms into red chests
<pog>
yeh
<zid>
if the chest gets full, it goes past and gets recycled
<zid>
my nauvis base needs completely re-doing it's too weak to export anything so I have to do vulcanis -> nauvis -> fulg
<zid>
so I'm like double fucked for fulk
<zid>
I went on a side-quest to investigate QUALITY instead
<pog>
bring large miners and foundries to nauvis
<zid>
yea it has them now
<pog>
nice
<zid>
cus it's next to vulk
<zid>
I just haven't rebuilt nauv yet
<zid>
It needs completely redoing
<pog>
i have a science production layout that i reuse now
<zid>
lemme show you my sick QUALITY EXPERIMENT
<zid>
god, space age loads slow
<pog>
yeahhhh
<zid>
loading sprites bitches
<zid>
https://i.imgur.com/KbLNuEA.png I started with that, then realized it's probably better to have quality quality modules and to start at base materials
