Remember to check your local time as it's a DST time shift period again and the OVN weekly meeting is at 9:15 am PST as usual.

Hi everyone, it's time to get started with the weekly OVN developers' meeting.
<dceara>
Hi
<mj2>
hi
<mmichelson>
If anyone is thinking "Hey isn't the meeting supposed to start in an hour?" Welcome to North American DST!
<dceara>
I was about to say that "it's that time of the year". :)
<mmichelson>
My mind has completely blanked with what I've worked on. The biggest thing was that I released ovn 25.03.0 last Friday.
<_lore_>
hi all
<mmichelson>
Other than that, I've taken care of some reviews, but most of my work has been Red Hat downstream stuff.
<mmichelson>
That's all from me.
<mmichelson>
Who would like to go next?
<dceara>
ovn++
<dceara>
I can go next I guess.
<mj2>
i can?
<mj2>
go ahead dceara
<dceara>
oh, mj2, go ahead please
<mj2>
haha
<dceara>
LOL
<mj2>
you first
<mmichelson>
OK, dceara then mj2
<dceara>
I don't have much: been doing some reviews, most of them related to CI lately, another notable one is Numan's series to optimize ovn-controller local datapath processing.
<dceara>
I'm also planning to try to collaborate with some ovn-kubernetes folks to adopt the recently released transit router support (25.03).
<dceara>
That's it on my side, thanks!
<mmichelson>
Thanks dceara !
<mmichelson>
ok, mj2 it's your turn
<mj2>
okay
<mj2>
so im nearing a v2 on the multinode test, the ToR is in a netns and the ToR is capable of communicating to a vm, via a connection to a ovn-bgp node which is connected to the guest vm, via a DGP
zhouhan has joined #openvswitch
<mj2>
this test has two Tors and two ovn-bgp nodes and two guest-vms
<mj2>
the Tors can only talk to their respective bgp peers
<mj2>
currently all that needs work on the test is making it clean up after itself better
<mj2>
I expect this to arrive in the mailing list by EoD
<dceara>
mj2, nice, looking forward to trying it out!
<mj2>
this is all
<mj2>
thanks dceara
<mmichelson>
Thanks mj2
<mmichelson>
Who wants to go next?
<imaximets>
May I?
<mmichelson>
go for it imaximets
<imaximets>
Don't have much, worked also on fixing CI issues, the major one - problem with cloning sparse from git.kernel.org.
<imaximets>
Made changes to move both OVS and OVN to use github-hosted mirror instead.
<imaximets>
And sent a patch to the kernel to fix weird actions length check by removing it.
<imaximets>
This is now in net/main.
<imaximets>
Other than that did a few reviews on OVN side.
<imaximets>
That's it.
<mmichelson>
THanks imaximets
<mmichelson>
Who do we have left?
<dceara>
imaximets, does that mean we can soon revert the OVN change that split multicast groups (with controller actions in between)?
<imaximets>
dceara, maybe. But I still think there should be some mitigation for the resubmit limit.
<dceara>
imaximets, ack
<mmichelson>
It seems we have nobody else that is volunteering to give an update.
<mmichelson>
Thanks everyone! Have a good day, and I'll talk to you again next week.
<mj2>
very quick meeting i guess
<mmichelson>
Bye!
<mj2>
bye!!
<imaximets>
I tried to warn people about the DST, but not everyone got the memo, I guess. :)
