nice job everybody, osbdm.c hasn't been meaningfully touched since 2014, and I just did: https://paste.jvnv.net/view/O7eM9 and it worked out of the box. (at leas tto connect, but that's super promising already :)
<karlp>
actuall nice job jan.dakinevich, who made one commit, reviewed another kinetis change and it' sjust sitting there working flawlessly still.
<karlp>
I wonder if that was really a P&E person in disguise...
kucha has left #openocd [73!]
<karlp>
hrm, apparentrly it was "open source" though not open source enough for PE to still care. you just get... zip: https://www.pemicro.com/osbdm/
<PaulFertser>
I remember there was some OpenSDA on Kinetis boards but I can't remember anything open about it.

Luckily it was easy to reflash to cmsis-dap implementation.
<karlp>
yeah, I was not really expecting this to work :)
<Haohmaru>
oh, so the cmsis-dap programmers from NXP were also locked to NXP chips too?!
<karlp>
not sure, but it looks like they have _support_ for being "locked"
<karlp>
I didn't have mcuxpresso and I didn't bother configuring it to locked to even bother trying.
<Haohmaru>
i know about this programmer from before, but i don't know why i didn't buy it back then, it must've been either because it wasn't in stock, or that it was only in stock from like mouser/digikey where i'd get a huge penalty tax if i just order that alone
