Ok so I am running into another issue
<
MCorgano>
I start OpenOCD on my pi zero, and it gives me
<
MCorgano>
Info : BCM2835 GPIO JTAG/SWD bitbang driver
<
MCorgano>
Info : clock speed 997 kHz
<
MCorgano>
Info : SWD DPIDR 0x2ba01477
<
MCorgano>
but then doesn't say anything, and I can type more commands in the command window
<
MCorgano>
If I cd into the openocd-config folder, and sudo openocd, it uses the default config file and works fine
<
MCorgano>
But I need to start it with sudo openocd -c "set WORKAREASIZE 0" -f /home/pi/openocd-config/openocd.cfg to set the workareasize
zjason` is now known as zjason
<
MCorgano>
Ok this is driving me nuts, it started and ran fine yesterday

MCorgano, no one said anything while you were gone, there are bouncers which can log everything while you're offline
<
antto>
there's also MemoServ for important things
<
MCorgano>
so I've re downloaded, recompiled, and restarted everything
<
MCorgano>
and im back where I started
<
MCorgano>
It just doesn't start
<
MCorgano>
if I move into the openocd-config folder and sudo openocd (without any perams) it starts, there's a telnet server and everything

Ok so for some reason it started working
<
MCorgano>
I am powering 3v3 to VDD and using SWD to flash, and that worked better than supplying 5v to the VIN pin
<
MCorgano>
Flashed it in again
<
MCorgano>
well flashing, verifying, all seemed to work
<
MCorgano>
plugging it into laptop, nothing
<
MCorgano>
I plugged in a batch of micro switches I set up for testing, and it magicly works
<
MCorgano>
the issue seems to be that the programmer was keeping it from resetting, but without the programmer plugged, the reset pin was floating
<
MCorgano>
pulling that pin high, MAGICALLY fixed the issue.
