<MCorgano>
Anyone around? I got some nRF52840 modules that came with no bootloader, trying to use a pi to program them

<Haohmaru>
que pasa?

If somebody knows why dual bank flash drivers actually do not use multiple banks ('struct flash_bank')
<Haohmaru>
oh, no idea about that
<zapb___>
Yeah, I'm looking more towards PaulFertser and borneoa_ :)
<karlp>
if I had to guess, I'd say the first stm32 with dual flash was treated as one bank, because it shared lots of stuff, and wasns't dual bank in the concepts of "two separate flash chips on the board" and it probablyt wasn't thought about much at the time?
<zapb___>
karlp, yes, that is very likely
<zapb___>
So you would also suggest to treat a dual bank flash as two separate flash banks for new code and if the device's flash is organized as such
<zapb___>
?
<karlp>
I have no opinion on it sorry :)
<karlp>
I don't have any dual flash/bank parts of any style.
<borneoa_>
zapb___: hi. Sorry no idea, flash is not my focus since long time
<zapb___>
karlp, borneoa_: Okay, no problem :) I will implement it with two flash banks and see how everything breaks and fix it then :D
<PaulFertser>
Unfortunately I have no idea either.
