NishanthMenon: thats my current state: https://www.toptal.com/developers/hastebin/gomuxinivi.yaml - watchdogs are serviced in u-boot but when I call a hang(); the system does no reboot. I think I am still missing something

austriancoder: let me see if i can get Hari to get online here
<NishanthMenon>
austriancoder: i think this routes only part of the way. unlike j721e family of devices, am64 and followon I believe needs mcu-esm routing as well before the reset signal can reset the system. the architectural concept being that we can handle two different usecases: a) where a safety software can monitor main domain going bad and permit restart on an opportune moment and b) where there is no monitoring, so reset..
<NishanthMenon>
Hari probably has a clearer view of the sequence he has working on am64x

NishanthMenon: ahh.. yeas.. found the "ESM modules overview" figure and it really looks like I need both ESMs
<NishanthMenon>
austriancoder: i remember Hari telling me about high level needing to be programmed as well.. which is why i think he is looking to see what needs to be modified in the esm driver
