<austriancoder> should it be possible to use main_rti0 or main_rti1 (as watchdog) to trigger a system reset on am642?

<austriancoder> NishanthMenon: I already thought that might needed. I have not found any Linux driver in TI's kernel repo.
<NishanthMenon> hmmm.. i know we did for upstream j721e .. need to confirm from Hari on the integration aspects for am64
<NishanthMenon> drivers/misc/k3_esm.c
<austriancoder> I got the rti_wdt driver loading on am64 with this https://lore.kernel.org/linux-arm-kernel/20220111134552.800704-1-christian.gmeiner@gmail.com/T/
<NishanthMenon> yup - that is one part.. esm needs to be setup in u-boot for it to reboot the system
<austriancoder> funny.. I did not found the esm driver when I looked in U-Boot and kernel sources.
<austriancoder> Thanks for the hint
<austriancoder> Looks like I could get the wdt working soon

<NishanthMenon> i need to look a little deeper.. Hari had gotten it to work on the follow on chip of am64 last week. but as i recollect, the esm_main needs to be routed to esm_mcu and result in resetstatz assertion. i need to talk to hari on what exactly he had programmed
