<thecheofusi> hi everyone
<thecheofusi> I'm new to the rockchip platform and got an rk3128 board a few days ago
<thecheofusi> currently trying to get rgb output working on a 6.13 kernel
<thecheofusi> has anyone tried to do rgb output on a non 4.4 kernel?
<thecheofusi> I've added phy support and for now I get some good images output on rgb panels
<thecheofusi> the only problem is there is never a blue component

<thecheofusi> if anyone cares, this is what running 'modetest -s 38:1024x600' looks like https://imgur.com/a/modetest-s-38-1024x600-hwWC0XA
<thecheofusi> when it should rather look like the standard smpte color bars

<mmind00> thecheofusi: you will like need to put your devicetree somewhere, so interested people can take a look ... "RGB" sounds somewhat broad (I assume that is going via the LVDS?)

<Kwiboo> mmind00: do you plan on sending an updated rk3576 u-boot series? I have rebased my fixup suggestions and pushed them to https://source.denx.de/u-boot/contributors/kwiboo/u-boot/-/commits/for-next based on top of a slight modified rockchip custodian for-next tree ;-)
<mmind00> Kwiboo: yep ... I spent saturday integrating all the review feedback (and your fixups) ;-)
<mmind00> Kwiboo: so was planning on sending that today
<Kwiboo> mmind00: great!, will check them out once they end up on ML :)

<thecheofusi> mmind00: will do. And it does go through lvds
<thecheofusi> the hacked board device tree and dtsi are at https://pastebin.com/gZzYSdSQ and https://pastebin.com/eZ6vpbxq

<mmind00> thecheofusi: you're not configuring the lvds controller right now ... from the dts, it looks like you connected the panel directly to the vop
<mmind00> thecheofusi: but it's vop <-> lvds <-> panel ... so the lvds controller right now runs just on some unconfigured default values
<mmind00> thecheofusi: so your next steps would be to look at https://github.com/rockchip-linux/kernel/blob/develop-6.1/drivers/gpu/drm/rockchip/rockchip_lvds.c ... for the rk3126 specific bits
<mmind00> thecheofusi: mainline does have the lvds-driver, but not yet support for the rk3126 variant
