<Hypfer> Hey, I have a RK3568-based SBC here running what I _think_ is mainline linux 6.1.63. How do I get the cpu serial number? It is not part of /proc/cpuinfo
<qschulz> Hypfer: /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/serial-number ?
<qschulz> it's put there by U-Boot, so if you're using some sort of broken U-Boot it may not be there?
<Hypfer> qschulz there are a lot of serial ports in there but no serial-number. How does u-boot know the cpu sn?

<FergusL> Hey there, has anyone successfully used USB gadget with configfs on mainline rk3326? would be glad to see the script used! thanks
Stat_headcrabed has quit [Quit: Stat_headcrabed]
<qschulz> FergusL: nope, tried on PX30 but it's pretty broken
<qschulz> sadly, not more successful on Rockchip's kernel either :/
<FergusL> hi qschulz, judging from your username I think I was just reading your patches to the LKML :)
<qschulz> FergusL: I wouldn't be surprised if that was indeed the case :)
<FergusL> I assumed RK3566 and RK3326 (basically a px30) would be enough alike to work similarly
<qschulz> FergusL: https://paste.ack.tf/d05c75 this is what I use for testing USB gadget
<qschulz> very basic test, but still... doesn't work on Px30. It does work on RK3399 (Puma) upstream though (don't remember if it's really stable though)
<qschulz> I haven't ran this on our RK3588 boards yet, but I've been told OTG works :)
<FergusL> thanks qschulz!
<FergusL> my hardware are RK3326 emulation consoles (got R36S, Anbernic RG351m and Odroid Go Advance
<FergusL> your script doesn't include the sort of setting show here to force switching to peripheral: https://forum.radxa.com/t/usb-otg-not-working-properly-rockpi-4b/9562/14
<FergusL> have you set it in device tree?
<FergusL> thanks
<CounterPillow> Is the otg_mode sysfs variable even a thing in mainline? I don't see it in the driver
<CounterPillow> I do see it in the vendor BSP kernel though
<FergusL> qschulz have you tried forcing it to peripheral? it's recommended in the radxa forums and on their github (though probably bsp kernel again...)
<FergusL> should the addresses match in /sys/class/udc and /sys/bus/platform/drivers/rockchip-usb2phy? I've got ff300000.usb and ff2c0000.syscon:usb2phy@100 respectively
<FergusL> okay this file doesn't exist /sys/bus/platform/drivers/rockchip-usb2phy/ff2c0000.syscon\:usb2phy\@100/otg_mode for triggering the switch
