<mriesch> CounterPillow: is it a good time to ask some questions about i2s on rk356x?
<CounterPillow> mriesch: in a car on phone for the next 3 hours but I can try
<mriesch> CounterPillow: but you are not the driver, are you? ;-)
<CounterPillow> Hopefully not, I never got a driver's license :D
<mriesch> ok :-) i am trying to capture audio with i2s3_2ch. this should work with the mainline i2s_tdm driver, right?
<CounterPillow> I've honestly never tried, but yes theoretically it should work
<CounterPillow> It does register capture PCMs if the rx dma is present
<mriesch> so far it seems to work in the sense that i can use alsasrc in a gstreamer pipeline
<mriesch> one tiny drawback, though: there is no sound signal
<CounterPillow> Is it unmuted in alsamixer?
<mriesch> hm, alsamixer is not installed in my distro... i can check that, though
<mriesch> another thing: i think your patches added a pinctrl to the dtsi for i2s1_8ch. isn't that a bit unusual?
<mriesch> the board.dts files can still overwrite that, right?
<CounterPillow> They can, yes
<CounterPillow> Dunno if that's unusual, was my first contribution
<mriesch> ok, grepping tells me it is not unusual.
<mriesch> do you plan to put i2s{2,3} into operation in near future? playback and/or capture?
<CounterPillow> No plans as of right now since I don't have a board to test it on, at least I don't think Quartz64 breaks them out
<mriesch> ok... i'll play around a bit more then. thanks and have a good trip
<CounterPillow> Thanks
