<tomeu> narmstrong: hi! I have just noticed that etnaviv is driving the NPU in the vim3 at 24mhz instead of 800mhz as galcore does.
<tomeu> have tried forcing it, but now I'm having reliability issues
<tomeu> guess it is not getting enough power, but I don't see any regulators to tweak

<narmstrong> tomeu: there's no regulators, perhaps the power supply is too weak ?
<tomeu> narmstrong: hmm, not sure what that would mean in practical terms
<tomeu> but galcore is able to run jobs at those freqs without GPU hangs, so maybe it is something other than regulators
<tomeu> though I have compared the registers in the IP domain and found no relevant differences, so I thought it should be something outside of it
<tomeu> narmstrong: oh, you meant the external power supply to the board?
<tomeu> I'm actually using a laptop one, because or all the other ones hang the machine under high load
<tomeu> couldn't it be the VDD_EE regulator?
<narmstrong> tomeu: perhaps, no idea how to change the EE regulator
<tomeu> narmstrong: btw, got tf-lite's label_image running correctly on the npu
<tomeu> have moved to perf work now
